The FMMT551TA is a surface mount, NPN-Epitaxial Planar, Silicon, PNP- Epitaxial Planar, Silicon, complementary transistor pair in a SOT23 package. The transistor pair includes an NPN type, FMMT551 and a PNP type, FMMT552. The FMMT551TA has an integrated circuit design that provides improved performance and integrated functions such as high speed switching, high current switching and low noise pre-emphasis for high-speed data communication. In addition, it has the advantages of low Vce(sat) and low beta variation with temperature and process variations.

The FMMT551TA is designed to operate in both digital and analog circuits. It is ideal for applications requiring high speed, high current switching and low noise, such as high speed pulse width modulation, line or bus drivers, audio amplifiers, voltage regulators, and low noise analog circuits. The FMMT551TA is constructed with a PNP-Epitaxial Planar and an NPN-Epitaxial Planar. The PNP transistor also has its emitter connected to the common emitter connection point but its base and collector are connected to individual base and collector connection points. The common emitter connection point connects to an integrated circuit (IC) which is designed to provide the high speed switching and low noise pre-emphasis for high-speed data communication.
