Application Field

Working Principle

The FS1023 flow sensor is based on the principle of differential pressure measurement. A pressure differential is created between two sides of the water or gas flow, and the corresponding flow rate is determined by measuring the difference between the two pressures. The FS1023 employs a proprietary patented design, which enables the sensor to accurately measure the pressure difference with a resolution of 0.3% of the actual value.

When liquid or gas flows through the FS1023, it is first divided into two parallel streams of different sizes, called the “primary” and “secondary” flows. The secondary flow is then further divided into two independent “mass” and “volumetric” flows. The volumetric flow is measured using a differential pressure sensor, and the corresponding flow rate and total flow is calculated from the pressure measurements.
