The HMC7426LP5E is a high-performance, low-power, compact, single pole, five-throw, CMOS RF switch. This versatile switch features ultra high isolation (typical 35 dB to 4.5GHz) and very low insertion loss (typical 0.2 dB to 2.0GHz). The HMC7426LP5E has very low power consumption, with typical power use of 18 mW. The switch utilizes a standard CMOS process and can be used with a wide range of VDDs, from single 3.3 V supply to dual 5.0 V supplies.The HMC7426LP5E is specifically designed for the most demanding applications in the communications, aerospace, and defense fields. It provides high isolation and low insertion loss across a wide frequency range, making it an ideal solution for wireless, satellite, and point-to-point communication systems. It can be used in a variety of applications, such as antenna switching, channel selection, frequency control, signal routing, and amplification.The HMC7426LP5E\'s working principle is based on load-modulated CMOS transistors. In the simplest configuration, a number of single-pole-single-throw RF switches are connected in parallel (SPST), sharing a common control input. Applying a logic-level voltage to the control input causes the transistors to either be in their OFF state (open circuit), or be in their ON state (closed circuit).
