ICTE15-E3/54 is a kind of Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diodes. It is designed for Transient voltage surge suppressions in ICT, consumer electronic, telecom and automotive electronics applications. It can efficiently and reliably clamp transient voltage pulses that are generated by circuit operation, ESD events, lightning, or other transients. This type of diode can effectively reduce the ESD and transient voltage levels, thereby protecting the system from damage or disruption of normal operation.

The ICTE15-E3/54 TVS diodes have a bidirectional configuration which helps to protect both line-to-ground and line-to-line from transient voltage surges. The ICTE15-E3/54 TVS is available in different packages, such as SOD-123, SOD-323, SOT-323, and SOT-23. All of these packages provides 2 pins for line-to-ground and 4 pins for line-to-line. The device also includes a built-in Zener clamp that is capable of handling very fast rise time transients.

The working principle of the ICTE15-E3/54 TVS is based on a junction between two layers of different semiconductor materials. When the junction receives a voltage pulse, the current begins to flow in the reverse direction across the junction. This is known as a clamping action, where the voltage is clamped to protect sensitive devices from overvoltage transients.

The ICTE15-E3/54 has a high-power rating and a low leakage current, making it suitable for use in applications that require high voltage protection.
