The IC features an undervoltage lockout (UVLO) system, programmable overcurrent protection (OCP) range, and internal timing. It also features open loop cycle-by-cycle current limit and leading/trailing edge phase shift dimming capability through modulation.

The IR1153STRPBF supports multiple protections, including open-loop cycle-by-cycle current limit and leading/trailing edge phase shift dimming capability through modulation. It also has overvoltage protection (OVP) that is programmable through external resistor divider, overcurrent protection (OCP), over-temperature protection (OTP), and short-circuit protection. The IC also has selectable slew-rate control and selectable leading-edge blanking time.
