IR1176S is a gate driver integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by IR (Infineon Technologies). It is a Monolithic Half-Bridge Power IC designed primarily to increase operational reliability and efficiency in any N-Channel MOSFET or IGBT power switching application. Working Principle

The IR1176S is a synchronized half bridge with a single low side driver and a single high side driver. It can drive most N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs used in power conversion applications, such as motor controllers, inverters, HV DC-DC converters and solar power systems. The circuit contains a low side driver and a high side driver, connected in a half bridge. Both the low side and high side driver are independently enabled, and the slew rate of the high side gate drive can be controlled by an external resistor.
