The ISL6752AAZA-T is a DC-to-DC synchronous buck controller that includes programmable features. It is classified as a PMIC Voltage Regulator, and DC DC Switching Controller. It is designed to provide low output voltage and high current capability in a standard 4x4mm 56-contact QFN package size. The controller has optimally integrated features that include power-up sequencing, programmable soft start, programmable linear voltage regulation and a programmable Frequency Foldback/ current limit protection. It can handle load currents up to 4A and provides an output voltage range of 0.8V to 0.9V.

The ISL6752AAZA-T controller is used to convert a specific input voltage, usually in the range of 4.5V to 20V, to a lower output voltage with a high current capability. The output voltage is determined by the voltage divider network between the FB pin (feedback) and GND pin. The voltage level of the output voltage is determined using the internal reference voltage and an external resistor or potentiometer. The voltage across the FB pin will be compared to this reference voltage and the current through the inductor is adjusted accordingly. This maintains the desired output voltage level as the load and input voltage varies. The Delay pin of this device functions as a soft start pin and can be programmed so that when current flows out of the pin, VOUT rises gradually according to the programmable soft start profile, thus avoiding large inrush current and current limit cycling.

The ISL6752AAZA-T integrates two channels of low on-resistance MOSFETs operating at 1MHz switching frequency that support boost/buck topologies. It also provides a power good indicator, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), Load Disconnect comparator and thermal shutdown protection. This allows the users to customize their power design to the specific application and ensure their stored parameters, data and configurations are safe even during system power fail events. It provides improved efficiency and noise regulation for the users\' system.

The ISL6752AAZA-T controller requires minimum external components and provides synchronous rectification, under-voltage lockout, soft start and programmable current limit functions to achieve a wide range of power system design requirements.
