The LIS2DE12TR is a compact and low-power three-axis linear accelerometer from STMicroelectronics. It is used for obtaining the linear acceleration micro-vibration of a vehicle, machine, or object. The motion sensor integrates a MEMS-based acceleration sensingchip, low power electronic and integrated power switch, and provides a dynamic range of ±2 g. It has an impressive 400 Hz bandwidth and consumes only 0.6 mA of current for a typical output rate. The device is suitable for most applications for motion sensing, such as stabilizing of robots, air bag crash detection, and tilt sensing in many consumer, portable, and industrial applications.

The LIS2DE12TR has an acceleration range of +/- 2 g and a low power consumption. It uses analog-to-digital conversion technology to convert acceleration information from its accelerometer into digital output data. This digital output is available in a variety of user-configurable data formats and is easily interfaced with a microcontroller or other Digital Signal Processing (DSP) device.
