The LNK362GN is a high performance, low power AC/DC offline switcher IC used in off-line power management applications. It is primarily used in isolated AC to DC power conversion applications requiring conversion of an input AC line range of 90 Vac to 264 Vac to any output of current level. The IC consists of an input voltage regulator, an adjustable current-mode controller, an efficient MOSFET switch, and all the necessary features to maintain the AC/DC system in its specified state. The IC provides the user with comprehensive protection features including Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLQ), Over Vacuum Lock Out (OVLO), and Over Current Protection (OCP). The integrated Hiccup OCP of the LNK362GN and other external protection components are designed to protect the circuit and user in the event of a primary current fault. The OCP is adjustable up to 8A and has a +/- 1A protection window. Additionally, the IC offers two external timing pins for adjustable soft start, pre-bias and hiccup timer.
