The LNK305GN-TL is a low-cost high-performance off-line Quasi-Resonant Flyback current-mode PWM IC. This device is especially suited for topologies such as High-Voltage Transformer-based DC-DC converters, Adapter and Battery Chargers, Offline Switcher applications and other systems that may require high power levels. The LNK305GN-TL offers a wide range of features resulting in superior performance, in a very small package for both new designs and design replacements.
The LNK305GN-TL integrates a Peak Current Mode control with Constant-off Time for cycle-by-cycle current limiting protection and over-temperature protection (OTP), making it an ideal AC-DC converter. The device has an Internal Slope-Compensation circuit to provide superior load regulation and fast transient response. The Quasi-Resonant Operation mode not only reduces switching losses, but maintains a low EMI profile while supporting a wide variety of power levels. The LNK305GN-TL supports Random Frequency Operation with its built-in Load-Adaptive Constant-off Time to reduce switching harmonic content and extend system performance.
The LNK305GN-TL supports single-ended Synchronous Rectifier mode, which combined with a Novel Synchronized-Turn-off mechanism, allows forTransformer size reduction, higher efficiency and improved power conversion performance. The device also supports non-dissipative over-current protection and a specialized input voltage under-voltage lockout (UVLO) scheme, making it an ideal candidate for cost-sensitive offline/non-isolated converter applications.
