The LNK362GN-TL is a high efficiency,monolithic, integrated, offline switcher IC used to generate either a positive or a negative voltage output. The IC provides a fixed frequency, current mode PWM control scheme with low standby power consumption. The device operates over a universal AC input range of 85V to 265V, and offers excellent line and load regulation over a wide output voltage range. It also has an internal thermal shutdown circuit to prevent device from damage caused by over-temperature.

The IC internally includes an integrated 50mA startup and an adjustable frequency oscillator for full PWM control. It supports an external remote shutdown and an external synchronization feature, which helps eliminate noise that may originate within the switching frequency. The IC also includes a constant current mode control to prevent massive high frequency electromagnetic radiation that would otherwise cause interference with other equipment. Furthermore, when the output voltage is reduced by light loading or a short circuit, the device automatically re-senses to protect it from overshoot.
