The MAX 14745FEWX+ uses a constant current/constant voltage charging algorithm to ensure safe and optimal charging of the battery. The charger monitors the battery’s temperature, current and voltage to ensure the optimal charging cycle.When a device is connected to the MAX 14745FEWX+ via USB port, the charger begins by sensing the voltage of the battery and adjusting the current accordingly. The charger then continues to monitor the battery’s temperature, current and voltage throughout the charging period.Once the voltage reaches 4.2V and the current drops below 1.5A, the charger switches over to a constant voltage charging mode.
