The third mode is pulse charging, which is useful for applications that require very precise control of the charging rate.The MAX1647EAP+ also features a programmable timer to ensure the system does not overcharge the battery. This timer is adjustable to any rate from 1 minute increments to 16 hours. The device also features an adjustable temperature monitor to ensure the battery is not being exposed to extreme temperatures. The device will alert the system when the temperature is too high or low.The MAX1647EAP+ has many advantages.
