It is capable of switching a single signal or multiple signals (up to 4 signals) between two analog sources at speeds of up to 80MHz. With its low-leakage of 4 picoamperes, fast switching of 350 nanoseconds, and low distortion performance, it delivers excellent dynamic performance in high-speed analog signal switching and multiplexing applications.The MAX335CNG works by reducing the on-resistance between an input and output port. This allows faster switching of analog signals when compared to conventional switching elements. The device consists of two multiple-pole switches with each pole having an independent channel for input and for output. Each channel provides four separate multiplexing functions: multiplexer, demultiplexer, analog switch and level-shifter.The MAX335CNG functions in two modes: single-ended and differential.
