When the control pin is connected to ground, the bias voltage applied to both switches is 0V, and the switches are disabled. When a voltage between 0V and VCC is applied to the control pin, bias voltage is applied to both switches, allowing them to be independently switched on or off by applying a logic level signal to the select pin.

The MAX359EPE is powered from a single voltage source ranging from 4.5V to 5.5V, and is capable of handling input signal levels ranging from 0V to VCC.
