Working Principle
The MAX392CUE+ consists of two separate parts which include a Mux/Demux and an ESD clamp. The Mux/Demux is used for switching signals from the digital to the analog domain, while the ESD clamp is used for protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and overvoltage events. The Mux/Demux part of the MAX392CUE+ consists of a CMOS switch with four selectable, individually configurable I/O channels. The switch can be used as a multiplexer, demultiplexer, or both. The switch is controlled by a logic input that is applied to the SELECT input pin. The MAX392CUE+ can be programmed to provide up to 4 channels of logic signals or can be switched between two channels of logic signals, depending on the type of signal being routed.
