MAX393CPE provides a switch matrix with excellent on-resistance matching, low charge injection and low crosstalk. The devices are optimized for low power, low distortion, and low leakage applications such as low level signal voltage routing, low level signal multiplexing, analog data transfer, audio routing, video switching, and medical instrumentation.

Working Principle

MAX393CPE switch is operated digitally. It uses a binary-coded version of pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control the switches. This eliminates the need for an external control voltage, simplifying system power and design. The switch can be operated with a single 4-bit binary control word and can simultaneously open and close two switches.

The device is designed to consume minimal power with its low quiescent current of less than 120 μA. The device operates over the supply voltage range of 3.3V to 12V. The device has a latch-up immunity of 600 mA without the use of external protection circuitry.
