In curve mode, the device ramps the output voltage in a linear fashion, allowing for a smooth, gradual increase in power. In constant-voltage mode, the MAX5042ATN constantly monitors the output and adjusts it to a target setpoint, allowing for precise regulation of the output voltage.The device has a programmable over-voltage lockout (OVLO) that can be used to prevent the output voltage from exceeding the maximum safe output voltage.
