MAX8934CETI+T is a versatile, synchronous step-down power module from Maxim Integrated. It is designed for quick and easy implementation in battery charging applications. This highly integrated device packs a slew of features, including a battery charger, pre-charge control and two step-down regulators. It also features integrated high-side current sensing and PowerPath control, making it ideal for applications that require sequential charging.

The MAX8934CETI+T integrates a high voltage, high switching frequency synchronous charging controller with a battery emulation mode, a High-Side power FET, and a low-side current sensing FET. It also includes two synchronous, high efficiency, low-drop-out regulators, OCP and OVP protection for the battery supply, and short-circuit protection for both outputs. A enable terminal is also provided for remote enable control.

It is well suited for charging single-cell, two-cell, and three-cell Li-Ion and Li-polymer batteries. It is also suitable for charging 3.2V to 4.5V NiMH/NiCd batteries.
