PCP1302-TD-H is part of Fairchild\'s Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) family. It is a single N Channel enhancement type device in a plastic SOT-662 package. This device is specially designed with high dV/dt and di/dt, fast switching speed and low ON-Resistance. With the high performance, it is great for current consumption, higher speed and higher reliability applications.
PCP1302-TD-H is suitable for low-voltage applications such as DC-to-DC converters, motor control applications, etc. The maximum operating voltage of the device is 80V while the drain and source current is 14mA at 25°C case temperature. It has a breakdown voltage of 250V.
The working principle of this device is quite simple. It consists of three pins namely source, gate and drain. The source pin is connected to the negative supply and the drain to the positive supply. When the gate voltage is applied, the channel is created between drain and source, enabling the flow of current from drain to source. When this voltage is removed, the channel is closed, thus turning the device off.
In addition to the channel creation, there is a fourth pin called the body pin. This pin is connected to the source internally. The body pin is used for avalanche breakdown voltage protection and to reduce the Threshold voltage. When the voltage between body and source is higher than the threshold voltage, the channel is open, allowing the current flow.
The PCP1302-TD-H is a highly efficient and versatile device, ideal for low-voltage applications. It is characterized by fast switching speed and low ON-Resistance. With its excellent performance and reliability, it can be used in a wide variety of applications.
