The TK5A55D (STA4,Q,M) is a single MOSFET belonging to lateral power MOSFET family. Designed to minimize conduction losses, it can be used in switching applications and offer low RDS(ON). The TK5A55D (STA4,Q,M) is optimized for switching applications and can achieve typical RDS(ON) values as low as 8mΩ. It can handle high current up to 15A and has a maximum voltage rating of 12V. The device also has a low input capacitance due to its low on-state resistance, enabling maximum efficiency in high-frequency switching applications. The working principle of the TK5A55D (STA4,Q,M) is the same as the other lateral power MOSFETs. The two gatesG1 and G2 on the MOSFETs are connected to each other. When a positive voltage is applied to the gateG1, the device is activated and electrons freely flow from the source to the drain. As long as the voltage on the gateG1 is kept above the threshold voltage, the switch will remain in the "on" state, allowing current to flow through the device. When the voltage on the gateG1 is lowered below the threshold voltage, the devicewill "OFF", preventing any electrons from flowing through it. This action is known as "threshold switching" and is the basis of the working principle of thedevice.
