TL2843D is a high performance, wide input voltage range, current mode non-synchronous buck switching regulator controller with Excellent Transient Performance which provides a powerful and reliable design for power conversion applications. Working Principle

The TL2843D consists of a voltage error amplifier, a current sense amplifier, a high-threshold voltage detector, and a high-gain control amplifier. It works according to the principles of both pulse width modulation (PWM) continuous conduction mode (CCM). In CCM operation, the output voltage is regulated by adjusting the on-time (tone) of the regulator. When the feedback voltage is lower than a reference voltage, the controller increases the on-time of the regulator (increases the duty cycle). This increases the output voltage, until it reaches its regulated value. Conversely, when the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage, the controller decreases the on-time of the regulator (decreases the duty cycle). This causes the output voltage to decrease, until it reaches its regulated value.

For the DC/DC conversion, TL2843D is easy to use and it includes a range of integrated protection circuits such as over current protection, over voltage protection, brown-out protection and under voltage lockout. It is also equipped with an Enable pin and programmable soft start, which allows users to further optimize the efficiency, current consumption, and no-load power consumption in their designs.
