Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes are semiconductor devices designed to protect equipment, components, and systems from destructive over-voltages. During overvoltage events, the diode turns the diode on and diverts the surge current away from the protected circuitry, protecting the system from destruction. The TPC6.8AHM3_A/H has a dynamic power dissipation of 1.8W, which means it can dissipate a high amount of power under transient surge events for a short time.
