Working Principle

This is achieved using the proprietary Current Sense Multiplexer (CSM) technology to rapidly select and divert the motor/load current from its source – a high power converter such as an IMOC. The power diverted is then read by the OCP controller. An OCP interrupt signal is then sent to the host controller to initiate the safe shutdown procedure.
In addition to OCP, the UCC3626 PWTR also supports other motor/load control functions such as Motor Braking, Reversing, Speed Control and Position Monitoring. This is implemented by a wide range of digital and analog control signals, making the device well-suited for high-performance motor/load control applications.
