It is a current-mode, multi-phase, quasi-resonant, flyback converter, which combines the primary-side-control and boundary-mode control for maximum efficiency over a wide power range. It is ideally suited for applications such as LED lighting, air conditioning, and printer power supplies.The UCC3813PW-2 power converter operates in an offline configuration which eliminates the need for a bias voltage by utilizing a primary miller clamp circuit. It utilizes a quasi-resonant switching technique which provides improved dynamic performance at light loads as well as reduced stand-by consumption. It also features programmable soft start, temperature compensation, and full EMI compliance.The device features two regulated outputs, plus one fixed output for pre-charging the secondary rectifier. The output voltages are generated by switching the primary control device in a quasi-resonant way. This technique helps to increase efficiency and reduce losses in the switching device. The device also features a low minimum on-time setting and a low maximum on-time setting by utilizing an on-time adaptive technique.On the primary side, the device array is divided into two phases to reduce EMI and improve efficiency.
