The UCC3895EVM-001 is a comprehensive evaluation module for AC/DC (off-line) Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). It is designed with a simple on-board user interface, for ease of use and quick setup. The UCC3895EVM-001 is based on the UCC3895 family of integrated offline SMPS controllers, which feature fixed frequency operation, a 150KHz oscillator frequency and adaptive frequency jitter, fast line/load transient response, and precise current mode control with minimal external components. This allows for a wide range of AC/DC (off-line) SMPSapplications, including small power supplies, LED lighting, low power adapters and motor drives.
Aside from its user friendly per-programmed operations, the UCC3895EVM-001 is also enhanced with other strong features and capabilities. It is equipped with an oscilloscope trigger, so engineers can easily capture and analyze the transient waveforms in the power supply under single or dual-pulse load conditions. Moreover, it is combined with highly integrated functions, such as input power factor correction (PFC) and input current limitation (ICL). This increases the effectiveness of the power supply system while reducing the number of external components needed.
