2N3716 is a PNP type bipolar junction transistor (BJT) that is used mainly for audio amplification.

It is a silicon type transistor encapsulated in a TO-92 package. The transistor has three pins – the emitter (E), base (B) and collector (C). The emitter of the transistor is negative with respect to the base, while the collector is positive with respect to the base.
