The KSA708CYTA is an amplifier transistor of the Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) type. It is categorised as a single device, meaning its central NPN transistor has just one PNP base bringing together the two regions of highly doped negative and positive charge carriers. In comparison to dual transistors, in which each region has two PNP bases, input and output transistors, the single device offers cost and space efficiencies.

The KSA708CYTA has a wide range of applications, largely within the telecommunications arena, where its small size and high gain make it ideal for a variety of designs. Broadly speaking, any application that requires a small low power amplifier that can deliver a high gain of amplification to low currents, is suitable for use with the KSA708CYTA.
