PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) is a power management circuit that is used to regulate the supply of power to electronic components. PFC (Power Factor Correction) is a particular type of power management in which the output voltage is adjusted or corrected. The main regulator of the L6561 is designed for optimal electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance and precise line and load regulation. The resulting DC voltage is then further regulated by an auxiliary voltage regulator which provides precise voltage regulation over the full range of input and output voltages.
