LMX2572RHAT application field and working principle
The LMX2572RHAT is a programmable frequency synthesizer IC from Texas Instruments, designed for a wide range of applications that demand excellent signal integrity, low power consumption and robust features. It is designed with an ultra-low input-noise differential oscillator and a wide range of programmable frequency dividers, loop filters and dividers. The LMX2572RHAT is suitable for use in various types of telecommunication and signal processing systems which require clock and/or frequency synthesizer solutions ranging from a few MHz up to several hundred MHz.
The LMX2572RHAT is a multi-output frequency synthesizer featuring an ultra-low input-noise differential oscillator, a wide range of programmable frequency dividers, loop filters and dividers. The input frequency of the oscillator can be programmed from 1MHz to 400MHz and the output frequency can be programmed from 100kHz to 400MHz. The output frequency can be divided by a programmable divider which can be selected from a range of 1 to 4096. The LMX2572RHAT is capable of generating multiple tributed output frequencies which can be used for different applications. For example, it can be used to generate multiple output frequencies for wireless communication systems, for GPS applications and for RF testing. Additionally, it can be used in RAID systems, controller Area Networks (CANs) and in Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) systems.The LMX2572RHAT is based on a differential oscillator which gives good noise performance and low power consumption. The oscillator can be programmed to generate an output frequency of up to 400MHz with an input frequency of 1MHz to 400MHz. The device also features a wide range of programmable dividers which can be used to generate multiple output frequencies from a single input frequency. The output frequency can be divided by a programmable divider ranging from 1 to 4096.The device is also equipped with a wide range of loop filters and dividers which can be used to increase the accuracy and narrow the width of the output frequencies. Furthermore, the device is designed with a digitally-controlled voltage-variable current source which helps to improve the power consumption and reduce the noise. Additionally, the device is equipped with a power-down mode which reduces the power consumption when the device is not in use.In conclusion, the LMX2572RHAT is a programmable frequency synthesizer IC which is suitable for many different types of applications.
