The LNK363DG is a high performance, low power, simple switch-mode off-line power-supply controller IC. It is designed to support multiple isolated and non-isolated AC/DC and DC/DC converter applications. The LNK363DG integrates primary control, sensing and protection functions into a single solution and supports a wide range of output power configurations.
The LNK363DG is a complete off-line switch-mode power-supply controller IC with integrated AC-DC converter and programmable delay functions. It is designed to provide low component count, low profile and low EMI boundary condition designs. The IC features a sense resistor mono-directional drive stage with multiple power stages and over-voltage and under-voltage protection that provides significant component count reduction. Additionally, automatic temperature performance control and programmable delay eliminate design complexity. The output control feature allows the user to adjust the output voltage or switch-mode duty cycle to provide wide range of load transient performance.
The LNK363DG is a monolithic integrated solution that is composed of a low power, fast response low to medium current MOSFET driver and several integrated handshaking and sensing functions. The MOSFET driver contains a 400mV reference voltage, a shared phase locked loop to PWM comparator and a sense resistor. This reduces component count, improves system performance and provides accurate control of the switch-mode duty cycle. The sense resistor also provides feedback of the output current to the current sensing circuit allowing faster dynamic reaction of the output voltage.
The LNK363DG employs programmable operation delays to eliminate the need of external components. This is useful in applications where output, input or safety parameters need to be accurately set. It also reduces component count and cost.
