TVS - Diodes
Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes are a type of semiconductors device designed to protect electronics and other components from sudden and extreme surges in voltage. TVS diodes are ideal for protecting sensitive electronic components and circuit boards from catastrophic damage due to electrical over-stress events, such as caused by power supply transients, lightning, electrostatic discharge, and electrical noise. The MAP5KE10CA transient voltage suppression diode, also known as a metal-oxide varistor (MOV), is a single-pole, bidirectional diode designed to absorb transient voltages and provide transient suppression over a broad spectrum of frequencies.
