The STEVAL-FET001V1 is designed to support the evaluation and demonstration of two power management systems: a regulated voltage boost (RVB) and a low quiescent current (LQC) buck converter architecture. In the RVB architecture, the output is produced from two alternating supplies (VIN1 and VIN2) connected to an N-channel MOSFET. The LQC buck converter architecture is a single-supply regulator that uses a reconfigurable topology, in which the active elements are dynamically switched between two paths.
