The principle of operation of this device is quite simple. The second stage is the excitation measurements whereby an excitation voltage is outputted towards the variable capacitor to detect changes in capacitance or resistance of the variable capacitor in accordance with the changes in humidity or presence of an object. This device further consists of an analogue amplifier circuit which ensures accurate signal amplification. Finally, a digital-to-analogue converter is also added for a simple and effective controlling of the analogue amplifier output within the capability limits of the evaluation board itself.
