TIP29BG is a NPN general-purpose silicon transistor often used for switching and amplification of electronic signals. It belongs to single transistor family, specifically designed for medium-power applications up to a maximum of 25W. This type of transistor is usually used in common-emitter amplifier circuits, as a standard transistors for amplifier applications and for general switch applications.

TIP29BG has three pins or terminals which make up its topology structure. These pins are the emitter (E), the collector (C) and the base (B). The emitter is the input pin of the transistor and the collector is the output pin. As with all transistors, current flows from the emitter to the collector when the base-emitter voltage is applied. This means that for every 1mA increase in the current applied to the base of the transistor, the current at the collector is expected to increase by 600-800mA.
