The TSM100IDT is a linear amplifier designed to provide maximum performance in a low power envelope. It is designed to work in either a single or dual band configuration, with a wide coverage range of up to 10 GHz. Working Principle
The TSM100IDT linear amplifier operates on a dual straight cascode versus gain operation. The gain of the amplifier is set via an external resistance at the top of the amplifier’s output. The cascode stage consists of two complementary transistors connected in a straight cascode configuration, with the base and collector pins connected together. This configuration ensures fast slew-rate, high linearity, and low distortion. The amplifier is also designed to be insensitive to temperature variations, as well as impedance mismatches, due to its adjustable bias current.
The amplifier also features a wide-band input and output impedance matching network. The input impedance network is designed to be low-modulation and low-noise, providing improved signal-to-noise ratio performance over wider frequency ranges. The output impedance network is optimized for maximum gain and power output, and it provides maximum stability and reliability. The impedance matching circuit provides excellent isolation from antennas and other external sources, as well as from body-effect and cable-related issues.
