On the other hand, PWM mode, or high switching frequency mode, offers a higher peak current and tighter regulation over the input voltage range. The VIPER06LS is capable of operating over a wide input voltage range, from 4.5V to 18V. Additionally, it is capable of operating between -40°C to +125°C operating temperature, making it a suitable solution in extreme temperature conditions. The VIPER06LS also features a Green Retrofit scheme, which is able to limit the stored energy in an external capacitor after the converter is powered down, helping to prolong the life of the capacitor. The most notable feature featured by the VIPER06LS is its programmable regulated output voltage. This feature allows for great flexibility and allows for the application to be tailored to different system requirements.
