The VIPER26HN is a monolithic integrated pulse-width-modulated (PWM) circuits pioneered by STMicroelectronics. The VIPER26HN is a high-performance switching voltage regulator-regulator employing a full bridge PWM topology with the specially designed internal control circuitry. It is suitable for use as an off-line low-power PSU in applications such as switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) for charged capacitors, lighting circuits, adapters, and energy meters. It provides DC output voltages as high as 20 V and can deliver up to 1.5 A of peak current. This device belongs to the PMIC - AC DC Converters, Offline Switchers category of integrated circuits.
The VIPER26HN has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is available in the molded PQFP package. Overvoltage protection prevents the output voltage from exceeding its nominal voltage rating. The device also contains short-circuit protection and can be enabled or disabled via external control pins.
