VIPER26LDTR is a cost-effective, highly integrated power train from STMicroelectronics that combines two half-bridge MOSFETs and two low-side MOSFETs with an onboard high-speed RT-CONTROL(TM) current feedback PFC controller. It offers an efficient, reliable, and simple-to-use solution for fast and flexible realization of on-demand, high-power AC/DC offline applications ranging from 10 to 85W output power.
Application Fields
The VIPER26LDTR is ideally suited for AC/DC converters in consumer, industrial, medical and telecommunications applications. Some examples include audio power amplifiers, ultrasonic transducers, air purifiers, air conditioners, lighting systems, PCs, TV and HDTVs, monitors, phone chargers, cordless phones, and portable audio equipment, among other consumer and industrial applications.Working Principle
The VIPER26LDTR is based on the resonant Dual Mode technique, with Power Factor Correction (PFC) for high power applications. The onboard PFC controller ensures a current loop, with a wide voltage range, for improved efficiency and output power over the entire duty cycle range. The PFC inductor also acts as an input filter, providing a low switching noise environment. By using two half-bridges or two low side switches, the VIPER26LDTR can be used in either two-winding or single-winding converter topologies, depending on the application requirements.
