The integrated protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and cross-conduction protection. To meet the increasingly strict EMI requirements, the VIPER27HDTR includes a configurable peak current limit protection. This allows the converter to complete the transition to continuous conduction mode (CCM) over a wide range of input and output conditions to minimize EMI and reduce conducted EMI. In addition, the VIPER27HDTR also offers an adjustable soft-start feature that helps prevent output overshoot and minimize inrush current during startup.
