Working Principle:

The 2SC2655-O(ND1,AF) works on the principle of bipolar transistors, which employ both electrons and holes to ‘carry’ current from one side of the junction to the other. The electrons and holes are moved together through this process and the movement of the electrons and the holes is then controlled by the base voltage. This generation and movement of electrons and holes allow the transistor to operate as an amplifier or a switch.

Once the base is biased, the tiny current passing through it controls the much larger current flowing through the collector and emitter. The transistor then follows two basic operating modes: the Active Mode and the Cut-off Mode. The Active Mode occurs when there is enough base current driving the transistor at the right level so that it allows current flow in both directions between its Collector and Emitter. The Cut-off Mode occurs when the transistor shuts off and prevents current flow between its Collector and Emitter.
