The ALD1722GPAL is a current feedback and voltage feedback linear op-amp. It features up to 12 dB gain, low power consumption and excellent overall performance. It is designed to provide a broad range of signal conditioning applications in instrumentation, communications, audio, and other field. The ALD1722GPAL also supports a wide supply voltage range which makes it suitable for many general purpose applications.
The ALD1722GPAL is a versatile, low noise amplifying device suitable for use as a primary amplifier in a variety of instruments and systems that require a high precision signal path with low distortion, high speed and exceptional linearity. Operating in the linear region, the ALD1722GPAL offers the best signal-to-noise ratio, combined with high stability and excellent linearity to ensure accurate and consistent results. It features a wide bandwidth with excellent distortion characteristics allowing for good signal fidelity when handling high frequencies. The ALD1722GPAL offers excellent output current capabilities with low power consumption.
The ALD1722GPAL can be used in a buffer or instrumentation amplifier, signal processing and conditioning, audio applications and alarms and indicators. The signal path of the amplifier employs a current feedback architecture, providing excellent signal-to-noise ratio and levels of gain. Its output is capable of driving loads up to ±20 mA. The ALD1722GPAL can be used to perform accurately controlled level shifting and gain scaling of a signal. It can be employed as a replacement for a discrete amplifier, A/D or D/A converter, sample & hold circuit, or multiplexer.
The amplifier has excellent linearity from dc to mid-frequency with low offset voltage and low input bias current. It features low output impedance allowing the device to drive loads up to ±20 mA. The high-bandwidth of the amplifier allows for more efficient conversion of signals in the time domain. The ALD1722GPAL is stable when operating in high temperature environments and also supports multiple supply voltage options ranging from 2.7V to 18V.
The ALD1722GPAL working principle is simple. It features an input stage with a differential pair of transistors coupled to the output stage. As the bias voltage of the transistors changes, the gain or attenuation of the amplifier is altered. This allows the amplifier to control both the gain level and the amplitude of the output signal.
