Field-Effect Transistor (FET) is a three-terminal nonlinear electronic device commonly used in computer and microelectronic applications for amplifying, switching, and controlling electrical signals. FETs come in two main varieties: metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) and junction field-effect transistors (JFETs).
