The IR21363 employs a “floating gate” technology to drive power devices. This means that the device has two transistors, one in the high side and one in the low side, one of which is activated at a time. When the high side is active, the gate voltage on the power device will be the IR21363’s supply voltage plus the high-side transistor’s on-state voltage.
