The IRDC3476 is a powerful and highly versatile evaluation board. The IRDC3476 application field has two aspects: firstly, it is applicable for off-line voltage conversion system designing; secondly, saving energy forms. Specifically for voltage conversion system design, IRDC3476 allows users to evaluate the controller of continuous current mode, realize single ended primary inductance converter/ flyback topologies and some low power output side scheme redesign. Moreover, it is applicable for AC/DC mode to evaluate the power factor and save energy.

In term of working principle, IRDC3476 consists of a complete digital set of SMPS controller and the full set of synchronization control circuit, that is, both digital and analog circuits. The controller makes current mode by adopting an integrated 8 to 32 bit central processing unit (CPU) and thirty two bit flash memory. The on-chip analog peripheral is connected with the integrated circuit by an internal bus connected to the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) which allows the data signals between the chip and the board. Moreover, the four channel RTD feedback control makes the IRDC3476 more effective.

Besides, the IRDC3476 is equipped with many functions and features to ease the engineer’s work. For example, undervoltage lockout (UVL) or overvoltage lockout (OVL),standby Leakage current limitation, temperature protecting and soft-start are integrated in the board. Furthermore, the fault and warning diagnosis can be easily done by using the test control connector and LCD which display the operated condition via two lines of 16 characters.
