The IRDC3842A is a compact, high efficiency off-line SMPS (switching mode power supply) evaluation board with a wide range of applications and competitive power conversion efficiency of over 95%. It employs the latest PWM (pulse-width modulation) technologies along with advanced PowerFETs (Field Effect Transistors) to produce a superior and reliable power supply with a minimum of required components.

The IRDC3842A evaluation board is designed to provide a simple and easier way to evaluate the performance of modern, high-efficiency off-line SMPS. It combines a narrow package size, good thermal characteristics, high power density, and high efficiency, making it the perfect power supply for use in tight spaces and challenging environmental conditions. The board is designed to operate with a wide range of input voltages from 9V to 23V and is capable of providing output power up to 7.5 watts with voltages ranging from 1.2V to 24V. It is available in a wide range of frequencies from 10kHz to 200kHz and can also operate at a low-ripple frequency of 3kHz.
