The IRDCIP2005C-1 Evaluation Board is part of the DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS family and is designed to evaluate IRDCIP2005C-1, an integrated driver board for two high current DC/DC converters. The IRDCIP2005C-1 offers a comprehensive feature set suitable for a wide range of applications while also providing robustness, high accuracy and exceptional power density. The IRDCIP2005C-1 is a feature-rich high power board featuring two synchronous DC/DC converters as well as two synchronous AC/DC converters for power conversion. The board is designed to control a variety of DC/DC and AC/DC converter topologies to meet the customer\'s specific requirements. In addition, the board features two channels for pulse width modulation (PWM) and two channels for analog modulation in order to optimize the performance and efficiency in the respective topologies.
The IRDCIP2005C-1 features a robust, highly efficient, and accurate synchronous switching regulation scheme. The design integrates two 660V FET (field effect transistor) output stages to regulate the input voltage within the profile of the load and circuit requirements. In order to minimize output ripple, a closed loop control system is employed to ensure tight voltage regulation and accurate, repeatable output programming over different temperature and loading conditions. The board also features an integrated, low-noise, high-efficiency switchmode power supply to reduce system component costs and simplify system design.
The IRDCIP2005C-1 evaluation board features an integrated test module to provide a wide dynamic range of up to 12V, 25A per channel, with an adjustable output current limit and a wide output voltage range of 6V to 12V. With an integrated designer point-of-use test interface, the board allows efficient and cost effective operation for device evaluation and development. Additionally, the board includes an on-board induced switching speed monitor to measure and evaluate the performance of each output stage over a fixed load range.
