Time Delay Relays are widely used to achieve timing and control in the fields of industry and automation. KSD2413M, a kind of Time Delay Relay, can provide customers with timing and control functions, and its application field and working principle should be paid more attention.

Application Field

KSD2413M is applicable in controlling the time-delay closing, break-make, time-delay break-make and repeated-break-make functions of low-voltage circuit. It can serve as an industrial control device or a circuit timer, and meet the requirements of customers for safety and reliability. It is widely used in the baking & freezer, food processing, packaging and assembly, water treatment, air conditioner and air compressor. It can make sure the safe and stable production in the above-mentioned fields. What’s more, it also can be used in the parallel connection of KSD1603M solar semiconductor relay and KSD2606M automotive relay.

Working Principle

The time function of KSD2413M is composed of three modules, namely operation module, timer module and output module.

The operation module mainly consists of one normally open switch (NO). When there is a certain voltage, the switch will be closed, and then the power is supplied to the timer module.

The timer module mainly consists of RC circuit timing components. When the voltage at the bottom node of timing resistor is lower than the voltage at the bottom node of timing capacitor, the voltage at the bottom node of timing resistor will be increasing quickly until it is higher than that at the bottom node of timing capacitor. When the top node of the timing capacitor is charged with minus potential, the voltage of the bottom node of timing resistor will all be transmitted to the output module.

The output module mainly consists of one normally closed switch (NC). The output module will be turned on to reach timer control requirements. Then, the switch at the operation module should be reset, and the process will start all over again.
