Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are electronic capacitors primarily composed of two aluminum foils with an ionic conductive polymer membrane as the dielectric between them. The benefits of this type of capacitors are that they are relatively lightweight, have high energy density, and can be miniaturized to a considerable size. The two electrodes are rolled and connected and then sealed in a cylindrical can that is sealed with wax or resin to keep the capacitance value consistent. Many applications can use these aluminum electrolytic capacitors, such as audio tape recording and playback, boost and hold circuits, power-factor correction, and DC/DC converters.

LKG1H392MESBBK Application Field and Working Principle

The LKG1H392MESBBK is a tantalum electrolytic capacitor with a maximum temperature rating of 200°C. It is very suitable for medium power supply and can provide extremely low impedance and high ripple currents. In terms of working principle, aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized components with high capacitance that function based on the laws of electrochemistry. This electrical energy is stored in the electrolyte contained in the capacitor’s dielectric, which then dissipates over time. As the capacitor begins to discharge, the stored electrical energy is released in a reverse direction when the applied voltage is removed.
