The Linear Technology LM5117PMH/NOPB is a DC/DC buck-boost controller that can allow a three-terminal regulator to charge a flyback, boost or buck-boost converter. The built-in peak current mode architecture along with wide input voltage common-mode range allows for a robust, simplified and flexible design. The LM5117PMH/NOPB is designed to digitally control the output voltage of buck, boost and buck-boost switching converters.
The LM5117PMH/NOPB is an integrated buck-boost switching DC/DC regulator with PMBus1.2 interface, along with an adaptive io-zero compensation scheme and optimum frequency jitter system. The advanced current mode control offers excellent load transient response, and supports both wide input voltage common-mode and high voltage output operation. The built-in high side MOSFET is capable of driving up to 1.5A. Additionally, the device has an adjustable maximum duty cycle limit that prevents overshoot, and allows flexible current-limit profile settings. It also features 5V over-voltage protection and 5V under-voltage lockout.
